Apple music device - iPhone SE?

So I was looking at getting an Apple music device to go along with my other PMP, and I was looking at the iPod Touch.

Then I thought about it, and the iPhone SE has basically the same spec (different processor, but it's for music so..).

Is there any reason not to use the iPhone SE as a music player?

It seems to have better battery life on top of being cheaper.

Do you own a smartphone? Apple Music is available for download on Android if that is what you have.

You can get Apple Music on Android. You don't need an iOS device to use it.

Why not? Seems pretty arbitrary to me. It's a streaming service, its not like songs actually have to take up space if storage is a concern.

I don't stream my music, and I leave the device in a vehicle.

The SE should be totally sufficient.
