One of two displays starts flickering after some time

hey there,

I have this flickering issue that just drives me insane. I'm running this setup:

2x Samsung U28E590 running at 4K@60Hz + FreeSync connected via DisplayPort to ...

1x ASUS ROG STRIX Radeon RX Vega64

It's always the same monitor (number 1, the left one for me). I googled some and a Samsung troubleshooting page came up. I checked it's suggestions with the following results:

1.) "Confirm the monitor's cable is connected securely and not damaged."

I actually replaced both of my DisplayPort-cables, no changes.

2.) "Check the monitor's power source."

I just switched the power supplies, as both of the monitors are identical. No changes, still the same monitor flickers, so it can't be that.

3.) "Set your refresh rate."

As I've stated, both are running at 4K@60Hz with FreeSync enabled. Yet one flickers, the other one doesn't.

4.) "Perform all system updates."

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 1909, my Radeon drivers are up to date and the are no firmware updates for the monitors.

My next tests will most likely be switching the ports on the videocard (so that monitor 1 becomes 2 and vice versa) and booting some other, fresh operating system from USB (like Ubuntu) to see if it happens there as well. Is there something else I could check? Interestingly enough, if I make the monitor switch modes, like changing resolution or refresh rate and reversing it back, it stops.Turning it off and on again does the same thing, of course. But after a while, it just stars by itself again sometime :-/

thx for helping me :-)
