Anyone have any experience using the 49 inch Super Ultra-wides?

I saw one of these on display at a Best Buy the other day and am seriously thinking about getting one so I am curious if anyone has any personal experience with them good, bad or otherwise, mostly in terms of daily usage rather than specific to a given brand or model.

I really wouldn't bother unless you have a very specific usecase

I'd rather have a 4k 120hz display at the same price.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I don't really have a specific use case to be honest except I like the immersion it would offer in games.  I am currently on a 34 inch ultrawide  1080p and love it but can't help feeling I would love it more if it were wider.  I also sometimes like to bring up two screens side by side for various reasons but find that the screen real estate isn't quite enough to really enjoy the experience and love the idea of being able to fit the equivalent of two full size 24-27 inch monitors side by side on one screen.

Since I feel the picture quality of 2560 x 1080p is fine, I was thinking about the 3840 x 1080 resolution to avoid having to push the nearly 4k pixel pushing a 5120 x 1440 resolution would require.   I am just curious about the general experience like issues with games and other software not scaling correctly, immersiveness, etc.
