Ok so rn im playing gta 5 online and i get massive stutters and i believe its my cpu bottlenecking. I got a i5-6400 which is pretty old and a 1070 i wanted to keep my 1070 and upgrade my cpu to a ryzen 7 3800x. Ik thats no a great combo and the cpu is way more powerful than my gpu but is there any performance problems or should i just get the cpu and a amd graphics card? And if so which gpu and what speed of ram should i get for a ryzen cpu?

on the side note, don't get the 3800x, just get the 3700x as they are pretty much the same and 3700x can turbo

ok thanks but do you know a good ram speed for the cpu?

3000+. Ryzen has a sweetspot around 3600. But it's definitely not required.

sorry for bothering you again but any idea for a good motherboard for a ryzen 7 3700x?

No worries, It's literally why I'm on here lol

B450 Tomahawk MAX is the one I'd go with
