So I just got into building after being a long time lurker of the channel. For my first build I went with a budget build. my specs are:

Mobo: Gigabyte B450 Aorus M Micro-ATX

CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 2x8GB

SSD: Team Group MS30 M.2 2280 128GB SSD

HDD: Seagate Baracuda 2TB

PSU: EVGA 600W 80+

I had it running fine for a bit, but now I can't even get it to turn on. The CPU, RAM, and VGA lights on the mobo flash, but it shuts off before it gets to the boot flash. I did the the paperclip test on the PSU and it works so I'm not sure what the problem is here. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

did you do something that made it stop working? like ram or cpu overclock? do you have your ram in slots 2 and 4?

Hello mate,

I have the same mobo as you have. So you might have noticed 4 LEDs in the bottom right? Any activity there?

Pls be precise and tell me what all is happens when you press the power button

The CPU light comes on for about a second and turns off, then the DRAM light comes on for a second and turns off, then the VGA light comes on for a second and turns off, then the system restarts and that process repeats

Lets look at this from another angle, what happens on the screen?

Nothing. I get no output. It reboots before anything displays. Occasionally I get the Gigabyte splash screen, but it reboots before I can press anything

Update: I now get as far as the Gigabyte splash screen before it reboots and does it all over again

It might aswell be a BIOS issue, have you been using BIOS lately?

Try clearing out the CMOS, also if you have a power detecting screwdriver, check if the main BIOS chip has any power.

I had similar issue like this and turned out the BIOS chip died for some reason.

Challenger Tier at League of Legends since Season 5.

I cleared cmos, but still getting the same thing. The board is a refurbished board from newegg, so I wouldn't be surprised if the bios chip was messed up. Although FedEx threw the box at my door, so that may have messed things up too
