Hey guys, I am helping a friend put together a build this week for black friday. I am much more confortable with AMD systems but since the 9700K is at 454 CAD on Newegg, I am asking for help from you guys to put the best possible build for 2000 CAD on newegg.ca. This build is purely for gaming and he has zero interest in RGB, his only demand is a 1 Tb NVMe M.2 SSD. He is the type of guy who won't upgrade, keep the build for 5-6 years with minimal maintenance and then get a new rig. I am thinking of CPU air cooling and great airflow to maximize durability. He won't be overclocking either. No peripherals, just a case, fans, components and a legit windows 10.

Help!

what games?

what size requirements?

no oc you say

no rgb you say

well buy the 3600 cpu

grab ram in 3600 speed, and say 4x8gb

buy a $150 board, i got a list of good ones right here

edit: from the nerd yt guy, asus tuf gaming x570-plus (no wifi)

asus rog strix x570-i gaming

is his most fave, but no post code, no clear bios, no for extreme oc but $250

asrock x470 taichi ultimate has 10gig lan, weak mem oc, $260

as rock x570 taichi $280, clunky bios, no dual lan

Shooters and racing games, no size requirements. With a 3600, there will be leftover budget and if I were to go AMD, I would only consider Ryzen 7. More than 16Gb of ram is useless for gaming. I asked for help with an Intel build
