Weird Box around desktop icons?

As you can see in the picture above, my desktop icons occasionally will get these weird box when I hover over them. This only started once I got a second monitor. When I restart my computer, it goes away. Anyone have idea of what might cause this. It's not really a big deal but annoying and disconcerting.

It seems to me like a video card driver bug.

You probably have different dpi on the two monitors, or different resolutions, or different aspect ratios, stuff like that which isn't so often checked by driver developers.

Try changing to another version of the driver if it really annoys you.
