Random Files appeared in my D: drive

Go to solution Solved by Hugh54321,

they will be from older games. They would have installed when you first ran the game

To start, I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I didn't know where else to go.
Basically while I was organizing some files in my D drive I noticed a bunch of Eulas, .dll files, an untitled installation file, VC_Red.msi and .cab, and I got confused because I have no idea where they came from, looking at the Eulas revealed that they were all for Visual studios 9, which I don't have installed, but the weirdest part about all of this all these files date back to 2007, which is weird because this install of windows isn't even a year old and visual studio 9 was released in 2008 (I googled to check this), could these files be from games or programs I've installed such as blue stacks or older games in my steam library? Help would be much appreciated, and sorry if I'm in the wrong place

VC_Red is for visual C redistribution. Basically game install temp files. They generally can be deleted after the games are installed.

Welcome to Windows, the platform where you can't tell the OS to install stuff where you want it, and you also can't tell it not to install whatever it wants wherever. Quality stuff.

I'll be honest, I've been using windows so long I've gotten used to it, since I was able to build my current rig I've been a bit on edge because I can't afford to replace it, even though at worst random files would just require a fresh install
