Hi I want to build a tiny pc in a Cooler Master Elite 110.
I assume for airflow it is better to buy a small psu but my only options are non modular ones.
Should I:

Buy the small psu and leave the cables: https://www.alternate.be/html/product/1161908?utm_source=Tweakers&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Tweakers_Voeding&utm_term=TN4S18
Buy the small psu, cut and isolate the excessive cables.
Buy a normal size semi-modular psu.

Here is a pic of the case inside (I am planning to use a normal air cooler for my cpu):

Semi-modular would be less work and less risk of damaging anything. If you cut the wrong cables it'll be a pain in the a... :D If you do decide to shorten/remove cables, just keep in mind that you're dealing with electricity. Make sure you know what you're doing and take care to isolate stuff properly, so you don't cause a short by accident. And obviously your warranty is bust if the PSU dies on you.

Going with a bigger semi modular psu would also mean less space for airflow in the case.

You can buy modular SFX power supplies, though they may be outside of your budget.

If possible I would recommend desoldering the cables from the power supply instead of cutting them.
But keep in mind you will void your warranty either way.

If you're at the point where you need to remove cables for it to fit then it might be easier just to use a bigger case.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

True. I've built mini-itx systems and I know how cramped they can be. If given the choice, I'd rather go with a larger case. I'm just wary of modifying the PSU, is all.

The case needs to fit under the table next to my bed but maybe going for a Mastercase H100 would be easier.

if you lay a computer on it's side it will probably fit no matter the size!

I live in misery USA. my timezone is central daylight time which is either UTC -5 or -4 because the government hates everyone.
