Hi, I have an Acer (GN246HL) monitor that doesn't have a DP, but instead uses DUAL-LINK DVI to recieve a 144HZ signal. I'm looking to build a new PC, but struggling to find graphics cards that describe support for dual-link DVI in the sub-£200 region. I would prefer to buy new (I can look into used if really necessary). Does anyone know of any decent GPUs that support dual-link DVI? I can only, at best, find cards that support regular DVI and I don't understand whether that's different to dual-link. (I was looking at rx 570s and gtx 1650s and they supported DVI, not sure if this means it will work with my monitor or not?)

Thanks in advance for any help, I don't really know what I'm doing.

DVI was replaced (effectively) by HDMI since the video component of an HDMI signal is exactly the same as what DVI uses (which is why passive DVI <-> HDMI physical connector adapters are dirt cheap - literally you're just changing the connector for the signal to pass through).

DVI-I single-link connectors have 23 pins (18+5) and dual-link connectors have 29 pins (24+5).

I haven't followed AMD's graphics cards for some time, but I think the last Nvidia card I saw a DVI connector on was the TItan X Pascal (the 900-series equivalent, not Titan Xp 1000-series equivalent) so you might be able to find a 9-something Geforce with a DVI connector but they're likely not going to be new since they've been out of production for several years already.

That all being said - if you're willing to spend a few hundred dollars on an old graphics card, why not instead look to a modern screen? There are many solid 24" options these days which are pretty affordable and you wouldn't be holding on to a dead connection standard.
