damage on liquid cooling for CPU

Hey guys.

I'm just curious to know,because all my life I've been using air cooling,in case I get damage from water cooling (Thermaltake Water Riig,CM Master Liquid or Corsair H100,H115i) does the coolant in system conduct electricity,or in other case,can the damage on that component damage components inside the case,the liquid I mean?

In any case with water cooling there is always a risk, and even if a coolant starts out non conductive over time it will become conductive by picked up metals from the block and rad. 

Don't worry about the what ifs because its highly unlikely that you would spring a leak but there is always a risk.

They typically use non-conductive liquid, but it becomes conductive over the months/years through (I thought it was) ionization.

the chances of a modern AIO leaking is pretty low, so the odds of it killing anything is also pretty low. if it does leak and cause damage, reputable brands' RMA department should replace your AIO. The likelihood that they would reimburse you on other damaged parts i believe is pretty low, but if u watch jayztwocents video here. 

 you'll see how hard it is to kill a gpu with water. your GPU is also the most likely part to get water on if your AIO fails catastrophically.

hmm doesn't the cooler spill first all over MB?Yeah chances are low,so which one has low potential risk of failing from mentioned above?
Corsair is most expensive.

have used a Corsair H80i V2, Corsair H100i Pro RGB, Deepcool GamerStorm Castle 360 RGB V2. none of which have leaked.

Where do you think its gonna leak from? That would tell you what its gonna touch first. Also depends on case layout. Kinda bad to start thinking about stuff being broke already.

Unsure but the best thing to do is look at the warranty to see what's covered (in case of a leak) and for how long.

Here are some thing's i learned in my trial and error over the years, yes it will likely conduct but if you catch it fast you may be ok. Also an aio will likely not leak and if it does I'd expect warranty. I have had many leaks on my loop but only when I have been working on my custom loop not just sudden leaks. Gravity is going to mean that most likely it would leak on your gpu, psu or drives rather than the motherboard and if your psu is facing down then the biggest worry is the GPU which modern ones have backplates. I talk to much don't even bother worrying the risk is so low it's not worth your worry.
