So I decided it is time to change my 24' Acer TN monitor, that i've had since 2009 and it served me very well.

I'm looking for a 1440p 120/144hz monitor and the past few days i've read tons of opinions on monitors and I cannot really decide between VA or IPS. There is a lot of conflicting opinions, people saying this is better or that is better. Mind you, i've never had a monitor above 75hz nor a VA/curved panel or IPS.

What I need is a monitor for casual gaming, single player story driven games, mostly. And I watch a lot of movies, netflix and anime on my pc.

I would like someone to break it down for me, which panel would best suit my needs and recommend a good monitor in the price range of 350-400 euro

Do you sit mostly on a chair and desk and look at the screen directly in front of you = VA

Do you play on your couch with the display a bit further away or move around a lot while gaming = IPS

Generally it's a bit of a personal taste thing,  there's really no "better"  just subjective opinion.
