I'm at my wits end with this one. So far i have bought 3 seperate adaptors (M.2 -> PCIe) to try and hook up my evo 970 plus to my fairly old computer and none of them have worked.

My first thought was too old for nvme, but i tried it on a computer that has an nvme slot (and that the evo worked in) and that also didnt work. my second though is i have bought a crap brand, but three different computer stores had only orico branded ones.

So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for this? I have had this drive sitting on my desk for 6+ months and i just want to use the damn thing.

Computer is:

i7 3770k, Asis p8z77v-pro with nvme modded bios. also tried on a maximum VI Impact with 4770k.

Seriously any help would be great as im tearing my hair out here
