Got a new RTX 2060, some temperature questions

Raised my overclock to +120mhz and +650mhz memory. I also pushed the power to 117% and temp limit to 87%.

After playing COD:MW for around 20 minutes, it raises to 83 degrees. Will this degrade the life of my GPU?

What temps should I aim for on this GPU? I know the max limit is 88 degrees but I want a stable overclock with a temp that will not degrade the life of my GPU.

At Idle, it hovers between 40 degrees to 45 degrees

Heat accelerates the wear of electronics. And while there is a general rule of thumb, it relies on information we don't know about. But given that the typical operating temperature of GPUs tends to be around 80C, it should last at least as long as the warranty period.

It's probably fine but i'm more comfortable with 74-79C than anything over 80 for long sessions. the last bit of power limit that boost performance slightly usually isn't worth it.
