Hi all I am starting a new build but here is one big issue the case needs to be fully air tight now I'm no engineer the best option I can see water cooling but having the rad outside the case and use silicone or epoxy to seal around the hoses but if any one knows of a better way I would love to know as I would like not to use water but if it comes to it then so be it

Noctua has a lot of different cooling solutions for any situation,

If it's a very small case then the Noctua NH-L9i should work well (depending on the CPU).

what dusty enviroment are you putting the pc into?

Its not so much a dusty environment this build is more of a on the road/feild build basically having a computer in a case to use out and about no matter the weather

Thank you for the info and the exact parts are still undisided but I can say that hight will not be too constrictive

Doesnt have to be watercooled, you basically just want a passively cooled build. I'd personally just buy like a Compulab Airtop 2 and then stick a plastic bag over it if it rains.

How much clearance do you have?

There is the Noctua NH-D9L which is very beefy with height of 11cm.

There is the Noctua NH-L9x65 which is compact but beefy for it's size, the height is 5.1cm.

Depends how powerful of a PC you require but we have some of theses units in industrial applications. If you plan to have it out in the field sticking it inside of a pelican case with a monitor and a battery pack will work great. Some even have 4G capability built in but they are pricey.

Then you can use the Noctua NH-D15,this is a beast of an air cooler,it even beat a lot of AIOs,the height is 16.5cm.

That makes it a fair bit more complicated but doable using watertight pass-throughs for your required connectors. You can have the pelican case with wireless keyboards and monitors leaving the case itself as something to carry with separate connective devices to use the unit. What application is this being used in specifically?

Yeah in a LITERALLY air tight case, I can't see air cooling being possible. At all. Your only option should be water. Even then, you'll have loose rads hanging out unless you plan on mounting them on something. And even then, I don't know how you can make a case in regards to the case buttons and rear IO panel.

For something with those needs off the shelf you may be looking at something closer to this than a unit that someone built themselves. As an alternative you could look into something like a Pansonic tough book or tablet as some of those are IP65 or IP 67 rated.
