Hey guys wanting to build a new system again, but I dont know what board I want to get. I want to get an asus board just cause I like the asus boards better but I am building a travel pc so its going to be a itx build the X570-i from asus just went available again and I want to know if I even need it. I am not going to be using pcie gen 4 yet it would be to use the highest 1:1 ratio on the infinity fabric. So could I get away with running a Strix x470-i in my new build with a stable 3600mhz.

Thanks,

Mike Magee

Thank you so much you saved me like $100+

Just remember X470 most likely won't support 3rd gen Ryzen out of the box. You will need to do a BIOS update first.

My Step brother is getting the 2nd parts so I will update my board first then build our rigs step by step.
