I have a major cpu bottleneck(Ryzen 5 1600 paired with a RX 5700) and I wanna get rid of it with the least money and time as possible. Should I buy a ryzen 7 1700 or something better or should I just get a AIO cooler master cooler or something and overclock my CPU to 4.2 ghz?

What resolution and game are you experiencing the bottleneck?

Zen 2 is your best option, but in the US you can only get the 3600 which I think is twice as expensive than what you expect to spend. More cores wont help with gaming performance here. As for cooler, $30 for a Deepcool Gammaxx 400 will do

Its really noticable in games like CSGO and Rainbow Six Siege

There shouldn't be a "major" bottleneck in here.

That would be provide you an identical experience in gaming alone.

What is your memory configuration like?

I have corsair veagence LPX 3200 but 3200 is unstable for me so I use 3000 and so far it seems fine

I see... so your problem is CPU bound on high refresh gaming... I take it that you have a 1080p144hz  display right?

I suppose the only senseful upgrade in here is to the R5 3600 and enable PBO on it... the newer CPU will allow you to run the memory faster too while your motherboard should handle it.

You need better cores not more cores.

A good upgrade would be a R5 3600/3600X

better solution upgrade your display to a 1440p display and your cpu bottlenecking issues will be not be observed

My CPU upgrading rule of thumb is to upgrade every two generations if I want to keep current with gaming needs.   That being said, I believe there is a very significant and worthwhile uptick in performance to be had, upgrading from your current Ryzen 1700 to something like a Ryzen 3600 or 3700x.  Also either one of those processors would pair well with the 5700 I would think.

Do not release a 1600 with a 1700, that will do nothing but add 2 cores that run at basically the same speed. If your board will support it (some of the 300 series boards can't be upgraded), then I suggest the 3600. The 3700X only if you plan to steam or like to keep other apps running while playing games. You don't need 8 cores for gaming at the moment and the 65% price hike is simply not justified.

As far as the cooler goes, you don't need an AIO if you are not overclocking (you don't really need to overclock Ryzen 3000). If you want something cheap, grab a Wraith Prism from eBay. That is the stock cooler that comes with 105 watt TDP chips. Its actually a decent cooler, especially for a 65 watt TDP. If you want something better than that, the Be Quite Shadow Rock 2 works pretty well (my preference because I put a priority on low noise)
