Having issues with my hardrive after using seatools short generic test

so roughly 5 days ago now my hardrive started slowing down and taking forever to load stuff so i decided to download seatools to check the health of my hdd as i was worried about it dying and losing all my data, so i started off with the SMART test which it passed then i did the short generic test and due to the time it was taking i let it run while i slept, woke up and my pc had turned itself off (my os is on my ssd not the hdd i tested) when i turned it on the hdd in question wasnt showing up in windows or the bios but once i opened seatools its listed and i checked on disk manager and its showing but it says its not formatted so i just have a few questions,
does this test wipe the hdd? there was no warning before i started the test
if i format the hdd will i get my data back? as to my knowledge id lose everything for good
is there a way to get my data back? or am i out of luck?
the hdd in question is a 4tb Seagate HDD (ST4000DM004) TIA for any help

If it's taking as long as it is to do a short test, it's a bad sign.

Prepare to get everything off that drive, as it would appear the drive is getting ready to die.

Would you be able to post a screencap of the drive from CrystalDiskInfo? The information listed there would be useful in confirming my suspicions.
