First build. Looking for feedback on my list and a monitor suggestion.

I've been wanting to build a nice gaming PC for several years and now that I'm debt free I'm finally able to do so. I only game on PS4 now because my laptop is from 2012 and struggles to even open Chrome in a reasonable amount of time. So I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying games at something above 30 fps. My budget for just the tower is $1700 USD, so this is the $1700(ish) build I've put together. Just looking to get some feedback on it. Does it make sense putting these parts together? Could I get the same part but from a different brand at a lower price without sacrificing quality? Is there anything I should add? Does it need more hamsters? Where can I get RGB hamsters? Etc. As for peripherals, I have started to look at monitors, but I'm not exactly sure what to pick. I'm thinking 2560x1440 @ 144Hz would be a good fit, but any suggestions for a monitor (just one) that would compliment this build would be much appreciated. I have a wireless mouse that works fine still, but I still need to get a keyboard. Not looking for a fancy one. I'll probably get one from Best Buy on Black Friday. I'll also be getting windows for my OS.

I mostly play all kinds of shooters. FarCry, DayZ, PUBG, H1Z1, Planetside 2, Battlefield, BioShock, The Division, and soon Cyberpunk 2077. I'd love to be able to play all of those and others like them on max settings with at least 60fps. I also play smaller games like FTL, The Curious Expedition, Kerbal Space Program, Dungeon of the Endless, Jazzpunk, and Steamworld Heist.

Also, there is a microcenter conveniently a few blocks from the place I'm moving into this month.

Ryzen ends up being cheaper for the same thing, and also for a gaming PC you don't need such a premium SSD, as it won't yield any difference. I also picked out a nicer PSU.

As for monitor,

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/b8VD4D/acer-vg271u-pbmiipx-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-vg271u-pbmiipx

good panel, 1440p 144Hz, solid choice.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely like that SSD more. And the monitor looks like a good option. Although it's not height adjustable. I can't decided if I should even be concerned about that. Can you explain what's nicer about the PSU you picked out? Other than the brand and modularity of each, they look pretty much the same to me.

Thanks again!

The G3 has a problem in a few circumstances with higher loads, it doesn't come into play much but it doesn't hurt to not have to worry about it. Also the fans on EVGA power supplies are never that great. And of course it doesn't hurt to be $5 cheaper
