Preamble: I am in Canada, my friend is in the states where he will be picking me up something, testing it for me, and sending it along with my family who is passing by anyway.

I just sold my 1080p ultrawide, ips, 75hz. I want to upgrade, but with my budget of ~300-350 usd I know I cannot upgrade everything, and something will need to give. In my head I had picked out 1440p 144hz. I have a vega 56, so I know I probably can't get to that in most games, but would like to choose one or the other depending in the game.

What we landed on was 27" 1440p 16:9 144hz ips Acer for $300 but microcenter also has a TN variant for $230 and while I do appreciate ips, I do not know if it is worth an extra $70 usd to me. I enjoy shooter games, but do not perform to a high level, so anything from 1-5ms screen would be fine to me. Colours from ips are nice, but I do not do any colour critical work, so that is also flexible, The third option is the LG monitor, VA 1440p 16:9 32" 144hz VA for $250 that is going to be on sale from consto on dec 2nd, if it can be ordered before it's sold out.

Since selling my ultrawide revently, I have been left with my secondary monitor Dell sp2309w, 2048 x 1152 (uncommon resolution, I know) and I find myself hating it, missing the field of view and immersion of the ultrawide, which makes me worried if I get any of the above monitors the feeling will persist. Maybe it is just the shock of going from a dual monitor setup to one for now, losing 2/3 of my screen space.

Any suggestions on an ultrawide I should be considering? (300-350 usd is ideal budget) and or what my concessions should be, either resolution (which I think is my highest priority), refreshrate (I would be happy with 100 hz on an ultrawide, but might settle for 75 hz again) or panel type (I think I am open to all three?) Or should I go to 16:9? At which point I still will need to choose between tn, ips, and va (hard knock life)

If you can stretch it up a little this is the best value ultrawide on the market:

If you had a 29" ultrawide monitor before, you won't really notice the difference in size if you go to the 32" 16:9; the 32" is bigger in every way.

If you're able to stretch the budget a bit, then go with the one @Princess Luna suggested.

I don't think I'd ever want to go back to a smaller 16:9; if I do go back, it'll be 32" or larger for sure.

@Princess Luna Thoughts on this?

Or should I stick with
https://www.microcenter.com/product/478859/acer-xf270hu-27-wqhd-144hz-dvi-hdmi-dp-freesync-led-gaming-monitor

My buddy has picked up the acer already, no dead pixles and back light bleed is passable.
The question marks on the 21:9 are response times, dead pixles and ghosting. Also, I am told monoprice has crazy restocking fees, so I am scared to take the risk if I get something with defects.

I'd just save up for the Viotek one since it's great... Monopiece isn't using a Samsung panel inside from what I can tell so it should be an inferior product to the Viotek... however if you just won't raise up the budget for peace of mind I'd still go with the Monopiece over the Acer because ultrawide is just a whole lot better experience.
