Alright here's the deal. I'm currently in the middle of upgrading my computer and I have everything but the new cpu and motherboard so far. I know that the ram right now seem ridicilus but when I get my new cpu it will make a lot more sense, but while I wait I'm trying to figure out if I can push a little more out of what I have. As of now, my ram won't run higher then 2133MHZ and I tried using xmp but when xmp is enabled, the computer restarts and wont post until I restart it manually by holding the power button and undo it in the bios. As a lot of you can probably tell, I'm not very experienced but I'd like to learn something if possible and hopefully get that little extra juice out of my system. I'm also aware that it may not be possible to run it at full speed, but any improvement would help.

My relevant components as of right now are as following:
Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z270-P
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4 3600Mhz 32GB (2x16GB)

Also, this is my first time posting on this forum and english is also my second language so if there are any mistakes, I apologize.

I would try adding a touch more voltage (start with 0.05v) to the VCCIO.

And this is safe?

Generally, just don't go overboard w/ the voltage.

Is your memory in the A2, B2 configuration shown below?

Yeah

Alright, I would start then with a BIOS update if you haven't done one already.

If that's a no go try XMP with just one DIMM in the A2 slot.

All else fails attempt to manually enter the timings.

Already updated bios and tried one DIMM before. I get the same issue. I apply the settings and after my computer reboots, its stuck on black until I undo it.

You have exhausted my knowledge of RAM... Hopefully someone else here can help you. I am curious to know how this works out for you. Keep me updated.

Alright. Thank you for the effort. I appreciate you taking your time to try and help!

16GB dual-rank sticks are "hard" on the CPU and motherboard.

It may be OK for an LGA2066 CPU, or a Zen2.

Some (not all) of the 2-DIMM LGA1151-2 motherboards are fine with it, too.

If you haven't tried already, try upping the Vccsa and Vccio both to about 1.25-1.35V, and upping the memory speed slowly, starting with 3000MHz, for example.

Memory can be tricky, check out Buildzoid's videos on youtube.
