Hi everyone, I am looking for a good wifi adapter. My internet speed is 450mbps up and 250 mbps down. My pc will be 4 walls away from the router (1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a service closet). Which wifi adapter will let me take advantage of my network speed and provide good ping in online games under these circumstances ? Using ethernet is not an option and powerline adapters are pretty expensive.

PC specs- Gigabyte B450m DS3H, Ryzen 5 2600, 8gb ddr4 3000, RX 570

I am a big fan of this card. It is basically an Intel laptop style PCIe card in a Gigabyte adapter with a nice antenna. You get the latest 802.11ax WiFi 6 and Bluetooth as well.

My only complaint is that if you want to use BlueTooth, you need to connect the card to an internal USB header on your motherboard. That is because the Intel card is an M.2 key A/E card, which expects PCIe+USB, but the PCIe slots on your PC don't provide USB. Don't worry, WiFi will work fine if you don't connect the USB cable.

PS: don't worry that this is an Intel chipset, it is the AX200 chipset that will work with any CPU. I use this card with my 2700X with no issues, best WiFi card I have used on a PC.

Yes. If you want to enable Bluetooth, then you need to connect the card to an internal USB header. Headers provide 2 USB ports and only one is used by the card, so the other is there if needed (I use mine to connect to my smart PSU).
