I want to build a pc myself but can't convince anyone that I can.

Go to solution Solved by Valkyrie Lenneth,

building a pc is as simple as playing with lego. do what makes sense and itl work, :P only thing added is that u have to insert ram timings n boot priority n install som software other then that its just legos XD

my mom could build a pc if i randomly give her parts that go togehter

also its hard to break most pc parts, the only thing u have to watchout for is the cpu pins ( on mobo or cpu )  but then again if u are using common sense and dont scrape a shirt over the board ,  or drop the cpu on the pins then ur safe, rest is quite hard to break realy

0. Actual problem

My family and friends and every soul I told that I wanna build a pc replied "you dont have any experience/ you haven't seen anyone build a pc/ what if parts break?"

I have been watching Linus since I got internet like 3-4 years ago I have downloaded the rgb pc build guide and listen to it everytime I am doing some boring repetitive tasks (writing project, etc).

Somany people have said that I can't build I am doubting that if, just if i bend the pin of cpu or it the parts dont work?

I wanted to buy from MDcomputers but there t&c states

  • 3.     Goods once sold will not be taken back or exchanged. Once invoice made cannot be modified or cancelled for any reasons thereof.

  • 4.     The item is tested for physical damage at the point of sale and the company is not liable for the physical damage of item any more. It is also the duty of the buyer to immediately check at the counter physical condition of the purchased goods. All goods are consigned at buyer’s risk and the company is not responsible for any loss, damage or pilferage in transit.

  • 5.     Our responsibility ceases the moment goods leaves our warehouse.

so I am a bit worried what do you guys think?

1. Budget & Location

I am from India and am listening everything in INR.

2. Aim

light photoshop work , illustrator, I am studying computer science engineering so whatever work my college will throw at me ( mostly codeing), also I use to play Nfsmw05 and wanna play the newly released nfs heat.

3. Monitors

2 monitor? One is a 13" lcd 1024x756 vga and a 1080p tv hdmi. One for YouTube other for above mentioned work.

4. Peripherals

Want to buy Corsair k55 and Logitech g502 but for now generic keyboard and mouse will work.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I dont have a pc currently and want to build one

6. What I want to build

Parts list

  • R3 3200g
  • Asus ex a320m
  • 16 gb 2400mhz
  • 1tb hard drive
  • 450w psu

Yes I need 16gb ram cause chrome, yes I know it has no dedicated GPU , yes I should get a ssd, I'll get it later.

R3 3200g

I would pump the bit of extra cash into at least a 3400g.  The extra threads are worth ~50% more performance in any task that can use the threads.  If you end up doing any kind of 3D rendering for graphics design work or compiling code, its a significant upgrade.

Same goes for the graphics in gaming scenarios.  3200mhz RAM would also help a ton for that.

Looks alright to start off with. One thing. The motherboard: Asus ex-a320m - you need have BIOS 4801 to run R3 3200G, same goes for R3 3400G. If it has anything under, you need to get the store to update the board for you. Or use @Plouffe  solution.

CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Elite V2 | RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2x16gb 3200 @3600mhz | PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G3 | Monitor: LG 27GL850-B , Samsung C27HG70 |
GPU: Red Devil RX 7900XT | Sound: Odac + Fiio E09K | Case: Fractal Design R6 TG Blackout |Storage: MP510 960gb and 860 Evo 500gb | Cooling: CPU: Alphacool ST30 420mm rad, Alphacool CPU and GPU Core LT and Core blocks, D5 pump and res combo

This is the best answer i got others are just suggestions for better parts my budget is tight and was waiting for black friday deals. I just wanted assurance that with just common sense and carefully handling I will be able to build it. Thanks for the help

np, if u rly cant figure some stuff out , in the motherboard manual is a basic guide how to build it also ( basic of basics like dont put ur ram the wrong way around and which slots it should go )

other then that if u have compatible parts its once again just common sense yea

doing good cable management from the begin also helps alot when u have to troubleshoot stuff btw
