are you okay with going AMD? having 6 more threads is actually helpful in those programs. and the price is slightly bit lower but the performance is better on the 3600

hi martin

thanks for replying

i feel like amd has some reliablity issues and also they are more power hungry so thats why i prefer intel and nvidia  over amd

I think the newer AMD ones are actually quite efficient. Heck Intel has tons of vulnerability right now that they are trying to fix but if you want to stick with intel, go ahead :3

but look at the benchmarks and stuff online, the 3600 is better on both gaming and productivity compared to the 9400f

Untrue :

https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3489-amd-ryzen-5-3600-cpu-review-benchmarks-vs-intel

It's better than the i5 9th gen, better power consumption and no secutiry issues compared to Intel.

The 1660S is a good choice though.

Go dual channel for your rams too.

oh right i forgot that pricing differs per country. whoops.

but going 3600 means cheaper motherboard so that actually means you still save some money. it depends though.

no problem. But make sure to get more inputs as like i said, im not a pro at this. maybe a better mobo, gpu versions or cases will be available at the same price in your country. so look around a bit . also be careful with B450 boards as some of them will still require bios flash for ryzen 3000 compatibility. some of the comes flashed out of the box so look out for that too.
