Hello everyone I need some input, please. Right now I have a galaxy tab 10.1 inch ( 1920/1080 ) I use this device primarily for twitch/youtube/nextflix in bed. I've had it for a couple years, and am happy with it, but considering an upgrade. Black Friday is fast approaching, so I know there will be some deals. I prefer to not deal with any Apple products.

what I am looking for

1-bigger than 10.1 inches

2- better screen resolution

3- battery life

4- under 500 US$

5-no idea.

The 10.2" iPad for $329.

Great screen, high res display, it's cheap, it lasts all day. Apple simply makes the best tablets these days.

I never quite get why people say they want better tablets and then promptly rule out the iPad.  This isn't pro-Apple hyperbole -- the iPad is widely considered the better tablet ecosystem, both in terms of hardware and software.  If I were in your position, I'd get an iPad Air and be done with it, since it checks all those boxes and will handle those tasks very well.  Oh, and your vendor won't drop OS updates after two years.

I do agree with the assessment that your Android pick is likely the Galaxy Tab S5e.  It'll be tangibly slower than the iPad Air, but it should be fast enough, portable enough and offer solid battery life.
