First build, updated BIOS and now computer refuses to allow me access

TL;DR Computer refuses to boot to BIOS after an update despite trying every conceivable method to force it, not sure if the issue is with BIOS itself or something else. Keyboard seems to be spontaneously turning off during startup, which might be causing the (numerous and repeated) F2 key strokes to go unnoticed. Not sure, very desperate for a solution.

Hi, everyone.

So,I just finished my first build two days ago, and decided to perform a BIOS in the hopes of alleviating an issue I was experiencing with a game constantly blue screening me.

A friend of mine said a BIOS update might help, so I went ahead and did it. Before we continue:

ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8G Gaming OC

Ryzen 7 3700x

G.Skill Aegis 16GB 2 x 8GB DDR4 3200

With that out of the way, I went ahead and did the BIOS update from version 0406 (I believe) to version 1404 via EZFlash (USB Method).

Everything was fine, until I remembered that the BIOS update would reset my settings to default from the previous BIOS version, which meant I will have been defaulted back to 2133 Mhz for my RAM. No biggie, I'll just shut down and boot to BIOS and re-enable Profile #1. Except now, upon rebooting, my computer refuses to even give me the chance to enter BIOS. I don't know what's causing it either, which has been the crux of many hours of annoyance now before I finally decided I should just come to the same forums that helped me decide on my components in the first place to see if anyone might have a solution.

For the record, I have attempted virtually every method listed online for forcing a BIOS boot and none have had any effect. Hold shift while restarting and force UEFI boot or whatever through Windows safe mode, nothing. Some program called ASUS boot setting, nothing. Maybe the computer is just too fast? Turned off fast startup, nothing. CMD "shutdown.exe" command, nope. And yes, trust me, I have tried spamming my F2 key. Every single method listed anywhere online has gotten me nowhere so far. The only things I have not tried yet are taking the battery out of the motherboard or removing my SSD and booting without the OS drive. The battery removal I am very weary of, and the SSD removal method is doable I suppose, just annoying since I have an M.2 drive. Additional, potential issue, is the fact that my keyboard is now suddenly turning itself off in the middle of the boot process, thereby (seemingly, I don't know for sure because my monitor is just as janky during startup so I don't even know if the "ASUS TUF" screen is appearing properly at all) rendering my many F2 and Del. keystrokes in vain.

I assume the issue is somehow with the BIOS itself, since the methods I've tried for attempting to get BIOS to force boot are software related. As in, since I am telling Windows to boot in UEFI it should be doing it regardless of any keyboard malfunction, aka lack of F2 F2 F2 F2 F2.

If you've read all the way through I really hope you've got a solution, cause I'm definitely out of ideas and so are my friends. Thanks.

Is your keyboard directly connected to the motherboard or e.g. your monitor's USB hub?

I've had similar issues when using my monitors USB, because it takes a while for the screen to detect a signal and turn on properly and during that time the keyboard wouldn't accept input. If that's the case, try connecting to a USB port directly on the motherboard's rear.

First of all, did you try turning it on and off?

Then did you reset CMOS? (do that if you didn't already)

Also yeah definitely connect your keyboard to the motherboard USB.

I have my keyboard connected to a USB port on the back of the motherboard, and have even tried other ports as well. I have yet to try a front USB port but I don't know that that would make much of a difference. I haven't yet tried or thought to try resetting CMOS, since I'm relatively new to this space and am worried about doing something wrong. I will give it a try in the morning though, if all else continues to fail.
