I currently have a 1060, and was wondering if the 2060 super would be a good upgrade for 1440p gaming that I want to do. I am going to be playing Jedi Fallen Order, RDR2, and Cyberpunk 2077 when it comes out. I've seen some videos and reviews, but want to hear it from other people who have been using it to help me out.

60hz? I suppose. Anything higher, I'd be looking at a 2070S or better

Maybe wait for the new AMD GPUs

The 2060 super is a great card for 1440p gaming. You should expect around 70-110 FPS average in games depending on how demanding the title is. I have the 2080 super and personally only use RTX in FFXV, everywhere else the framerate hit is too high. You might want to consider going with the 5700xt since it is closer in performance to the 2070 super.

I have 2070 Super and 1440p monitor and I can't run games like Control, AC, Metro Exodus, RDR2 on ultra at 60fps. But on high sure. So I guess 2060 super will be medium to high for 60fps on the heaviest games, and fine on not so heavy titles.

There are plenty of benchmarks on Hardware Unboxed channel, I suggest to take a look and decide for yourself depending on the titles and settings you are going for.

So would a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 5700xt be able to run the games listed at 1440p pretty well?

Jedi Fallen order For sure, Red Dead you’ll need to turn some settings down to high (it’s a crazy demanding game even on a 2080 ti), and I would imagine you’d be fine for CP 2077 but it’s not out yet. You would definitely be better off than if you go with a 2060 super.
