Cheap thermal paste to replace old dry thermal paste

So, I have a build, like very low budget, and it has and optiplex and graphics and as usual they have the stock old dry thermal paste and I was thinking of replacing it to improve temps, perhaps even overclocking the gpu a little if I have the thermal headroom. Now on Amazon I have 5£ gift card balance and I was looking for thermal paste that ships in at least 1 or 2 weeks at best. I've looked at the GD900 as I've heard good things about it but that ships all the way in december and isn't really ideal. I know it needs to be like non conductive thermal paste as I would be using it both on the CPU but also on the GPU die. I thought of going perhaps for the Arctic MX-2 as it is a reputable brand and it's been reduced from 6.99£ to 3.95£ but they never seem to mention, on any thermal paste for that matter whether they are conductive or not, or whether they are suitable for application on a bare die.

Any good suggestions are welcome.

MX-2 isn't electrically conductive. You could apply conductive paste to both GPU and CPU though.

then what is the actual purpose of non conductive thermal paste and would you recommend MX-2?

Same as conductive thermal paste... Thermal transfer. It just doesn't have the risk or certain properties that conductive liquid metal stuff has. 

 

I'd recommend MX-4 really, though that's just because it's what I use. Honestly, there's so little difference between different thermal pastes that it doesn't matter. MX-2 is just fine.
