Slow Download Speeds on PC- Network card issue? Help!

Hey,

So I'm a bit of a noob and just build my first PC a few months ago. Our modem is too far away to run a hardwired connection so I bought a network card (ASUS PCE-AC55BT B1 AC1200 Wireless Bluetooth 4.2 PCIe/Mpcie Adapter). We currently have 200 mbps internet and I average between 150-190mbps when running speed tests on my phone. The issue is that my PC is on average only pulling ~40mbps with all other applications closed. The network card should support speeds up to 867Mbp so what give? Do I need to upgrade the network card or is there a setting I should change? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I am having exact same issue with the same card. Have you found any solution?

I have a dual band wifi router and 200 Mbps internet. All my other devices are reaching speeds close to 200mbps, but the PC with the ASUS PCE-AC55BT B1 AC1200 card which is literally 10 ft from the router barley reaches 40mbps on 2.4Ghz and 26mbps on 5Ghz.

I went to the Asus website and installed the latest recommended driver (It was a Inter driver) but no change in DL speeds with the latest driver either.
