Hi,

I saw on lenovo webiste that their Leigon Y7000 series supports this thing called Dual Direct GFX, which allows the user to switch between iGPU output to screen and Nvidia GPU output to screen. They claim that with a straight connect from Nvidia GPU to the screen, they can get up to 30% fps increase in games, due to bypassing the Intel iGPU copying performance loss. However has anyone tried it for video editing and exporting, and does it help also? I'm not concerned about the gaming fps increase as I dont game at all, but I do 4K HEVC video editing. Google searching it returns no valuable results.

Thanks a lot!

Well maybe it dont matter for PCs, but for a laptop with really weak iGPU, it do matter. The 30% fps increase is on their offcial product page and also tested by my friend in League of Legends, where fps increase by more than 40. However, the thing is I cant be sure whether this benefits all apps or only some full screen games.
