High pitched cricket like noise coming from my computer

I started to watch a music video, Link;                                                                               

when suddenly my computer began to make high pitched cricket noise, sounded like a million crickets. I tried a bunch of ways to fix, but nothing work. I've played this video before, plus videos like this one and no crickets happened. It's very annoying, please, someone out there, HELP ME. I tried playing the video again, and it seems like the noise overlaps, like playing two videos at the same time.

Is this noise coming from your PC itself or an audio device attached to it? Disconnect any speakers or headset whichever's applicable. Turn them off and listen for the noise. Bad mechanical drives can make a hell of a noise.

To Fasauseome, so I restarted my computer but it didn't work, plus I tried shutting it down and turning it back on again. 

TO Ehmc130, the noise is coming from the  PC.

I decided to play around with the volume and this is what happened. When the volume is below 30, I can't hear the noise, and at 100 its loud as hell and it seemed to vibrate my hears and and got even more high pitched. My hears are hurting a bit. I decided to watch a video with the low volume, but it sounded like an echo.

Ah. Chirping noises?  You’ve got 15 year old ears.  All new and well oiled.  You can probably hear high pitched noises older people can’t.  As a result the descriptive “crickets” may be less than useful.  
 

there are generally two reasons a computer can make noise.

 

1. Fan problems.  Fans move so if they have the right(wrong) kind of bearing they can squeak if they’re not lubricated.

2. coil whine.  Sound is vibration, and some parts, in particular coils, can vibrate if the computer is doing just the right thing.  If that just the right thing happens in just the right way the coils can make a whining noise.

So is it a squeaky noise or a Whitney noise and where in the computer is it coming from?

Soooooo.... I just turned on my computer and its fixed.... somehow... I don't hear any noise... but... like how did it get fixed!?!? I feel like I wasted people's time.

Coil whine is sometimes annoying that way.  Occasionally It only happens if circumstances are just right.  Sometimes almost all the time.

 

good news is it appears you got lucky.  Kind of.   There’s an old joke about a patient telling a doctor “it hurts when I do this..” to which the doctor replied “so don’t do that”
