So I recently built my own pc and I'm currently stuck, whenever I turn on my pc, it gets power and the fans and RGB work but whenever I look at the screen nothing is there.

I have tried the HDMI cable on a PS4 and Xbox and it works on both of them. I have also tried swapping the HDMI from graphics card to motherboard but that still doesn't work.

Any other, suggestions? And if any questions ask.

CPU-AMD Ryzen 5

GPU-gtx 1050TI

PSU- Ace 750 Watt

Motherboard-470X gaming plus

Okay, plugging the HDMI to the motherboard is absolutely useless! Your CPU doesn't have intergrated graphics. Which Ryzen 5 do you have? And does your graphics card have any power plugs that need to be plugged in?

Ace 750W? Is this your power supply?

It's Ryzen 5 2600, and the graphics card lights up and as far as I can tell only has one thing to plug into it, which is plugged in.

Yes that is my power supply.

You won't be able to use that power supply, it's junk and not suitable for modern systems. If you're able to you should return the power supply, karate chop whoever sold that junk to you, and get a refund. If you can't get a refund then just put it straight in to the trash or electronics recycling.

Your MSI X470 Gaming Plus motherboard requires an 8pin EPS12V power connector to power the CPU which the Ace 750W PSU lacks as the power supply is so old it predates the existence of the connector. Your computer won't work without being able to provide power to the CPU.

I'm guessing you have the 4pin plugged in and the 8pin socket empty?

Looking at the "Ace 750W" power supply, the box claims to support the "new" standard of ATX1.3/ATX2.0 which was from 2003. Another clue of its age is it has an ATI logo on the side of the box. AMD bought ATI back in 2006, so we can be confident this PSU (or at least the information on the box) is from sometime between 2003-2006. They could still be making them and maybe they just care so little about the power supply that they couldn't be bothered updating the information on the box in the last 15 years, but so much for the companies "one step ahead" motto.

Also lots of other red flags such as lack of active PFC, only supporting 230V AC voltage instead of supporting full range 110-240V AC input (despite the side of the box claiming 115V and 230V switchable options despite the power supply not having a voltage switch and clearly labelled as 230V only), a lack of 6+2 pin PCIe connector (again PSU predating modern standards), and it claims it can provide a maximum of 37A on 12V (444W), which by modern standards would make this only a 450W power supply, not 750W,  though given that this power supply is so old it was designed for systems that more heavily relied on 5V (pre-Pentium 4 era CPUs) I'm not going to say that the 750W claim is a lie, but it's definitely not a 750W power supply by today's standards.

Also I'm guessing a total lack of protections and all around crappy design that if you were even able to get it running would likely result in a loud pop and electrical smoke.

Something else that might be useful is that external devices like mouse and keyboard don't turn on or anything when plugged in. But if I use the USB port for something else, which was charging my phone, it works? Really strange.

When the system is off USB runs off 5VSB (5V Stand-by) power which will allow you to charge devices through USB. 5VSB will provide power even if the system is turned off and the power supply is in "stand-by", so you'd still be able to charge devices through it as long as the motherboard 24pin is plugged in and the power supply 'works' regardless of whether or not the system can turn on.

Buy a new power supply and you should be able to get the system working. I'd recommend a decent 450W power supply. Stuff like the Corsair CX450 or CX450M, Cooler Master MWE Bronze V2, Bitfenix Formula, Be Quiet Pure Power 10 or 11, etc.
If you're unsure if a power supply would be suitable feel free to ask on the forums before buying.

Thanks for the support, I'm now looking for legit or good power supply units to replace it and see if that fixes the problem. What's one you suggest for my current setup with the specs I stated above which are

RYZEN 5 2600

GTX 1050TI

6 fans on the case using 12VO each

(I can use just 3 if you suggest so)

MSI X470 GAMING PLUS

2x 8GB HyperX
