Now my question:
I’m planning to sell my PS3 + games to cuz I’m simply not using it anymore. But I still have a fairly large collection of Blu Rays that I’m still watching with the PS acting as my current player.
Tho I’m not sure wether to replace it with an external Blu ray player that connects directly to the TV or just get an external Burner/Player that connects to my PC as they’re way cheaper and my PC is connected to the TV anyways. So are there any disadvantages in using a pc-bound player or can I save the extra 100€ or so?
Cuz I can’t really find anything why TV-bound player have any advantage whatsoever.
Thanks in advance

PS: 4K is not a necessity, would be nice to have tho.
If you're looking to play actual Blu-Ray movies, my experience is to get a dedicated player, rather than a PC drive - the user experience will be better.
I would look at getting a used Xbox One S, or just go to Walmart/Best Buy/Amazon/NewEgg/etc and buy a midrange set-top Blu-Ray player from the likes of Samsung, Sony, etc.
