Hi,

I've built a new computer a few months ago but there's one issue that's been bothering me since the beginning. The computer would randomly turn on again when in sleep mode. It's totally random, sometimes it would happen just a few minutes after being put to sleep, sometimes hours after (so I would be woken up in the middle of the night by the RGB panel).

It's a Ryzen-based build and the motherboard is a MSI Tomahawk B450. The full specs are on my profile. Is there anything that could be done to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks

For starters, check if Wake On LAN is enabled in the BIOS. You could of course just turn you computer off instead of putting it to sleep, modern PCs take seconds to boot.

I'm using a WiFi connection so but I'll check the BIOS this afternoon although I doubt the Wake on LAN is the issue.

As of now my trick is to turn off the power supply but I cannot turn off the PC entirely because I have too many programs open and too much work going on. It would be a pain to reopen everything every day.

Ok I just changed it from "BIOS" to "OS" but I don't understand what each setting means.
