So I got a free pc and I am very budget minded, the use for my pc is 1080 to 1440 gaming. SO I was looking for suggestions on a good budget oriented upgrade for it, I was thinking ram (2x8 16gb 3200 for $60 USD) but does anyone have on additional or other budget minded upgrade suggestions for this build???

yeah go for dual channel high speed ram. the rest looks good.

1440p gets a nice upgrade if choosing a new GPU

Ram speed gives a small boost each step up,....to minimums and maximums but mainly when the CPU is at Higher Usages you see more benefit.

Also,...

Ryzen 1-2 is cheap online (new) and you could sell and budget friendly make a platform upgrade (CPU/RAM/Board) and keep the GTX1070 a bit longer...
