How to i find out how many pins for RAM

A while back one of my 8gig RAM sticks took a poop,

I have been running on one 8gig stick, but I need to replace it now.....

so how do I figure out how many pins my RAM has?

Pin count? Doesnt matter, just remember the memory type and voltage kit runs on.

Either buy the exact same ram that died or look up the laptop and find out what ram it uses that way.

Pin count isn't the best way to find the correct part.

everything I look up does not tell me how many pins......

I have looked, unless I am looking in the wrong place

So, 200, 204, or 260....SODIMM are all interchangeable ?

There's only 1 pin count of memory stick when you look for DDR3 SODIMM, so I dont understand why you just stare at "pin count" all along

You need 204-pin, the only other filter option that I see is 240, but that's DDR4L RAM anyway. I only see a 204 pin option for DDR3L SODIMM. However, your sticks do appear to run at 1.35V so I would keep an eye out for that.

Thanks, I was looking at the Part Picker site and it seemed to have 200, 204, and 260 listed

Yeah, 200-pin SODIMM is DDR2, 204-pin SODIMM is DDR3, and 260-pin SODIMM is DDR4. The other one's are standard DIMMs, but yeah for DDR3 for a laptop you need 204-pin
