Hey guys

My current pc has a instable graphics card of some sort and im not sure if i should just buy a new GPU or build an entirely new PC.

Here are my current specs:

- i5 4460 (cpu)

- Gelid Solutions Tranquillo rev. 2 (cpu cooler)

- MSI B85-G41 PC Mate (motherboard)

- 8gb DDR3 ram 1600mhz (ram)

- r9 380 2gb (gpu)

- 1TB HDD

- Seasonic 430W bronze PSU

What i would want to build if i where to build a new pc:

- AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Boxed (cpu)

- Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite (motherboard)

- MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Super Armor OC (gpu)

- Seagate Barracuda, 1TB (hdd)

- Fractal Design Define R5 Black (case)

- Gelid Solutions Phantom Black (cpu cooler)

- Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 (RAM, 16GB at 3200mhz)

- Corsair TX550M V2 (psu)

- Kingston A2000 250GB (m.2 ssd)

This build is around 1000 euro's

Do you think i should just buy a new GPU or a new PC? Also feel free to drop some recommendations for the build ;)

Thanks a ton!

It's a solid choice but do make the most out of your money and buy an RX 5700 XT, it costs the same as the 2060 Super and is so much faster!

Good luck and have fun building!

I've heard alot of bad stories about the drivers on that card, are they better now? I've already had my fair share of bad amd drivers so i wouldn't mind sacrificing performance for stability. Also my current AMD GPU probably became instable because of it's high temperatures and i don't want that to happen again...

Dude those are stories of yesteryear, the drivers have had enough time to iron out the release creases (what happens every time new GPUs are released, even by nVIDIA cards), but in terms of temps if you buy a decent AIB model such as the PowerColor Red Devil or the Sapphire Nitro+ or the Gigabyte ones, then you should have no problems, and the performance is just leagues higher!

Cheers mate!
