Hello, hello! I've recently upgraded coolers from a stock Intel heat sink to an NZXT Kraken X42 (as was needed for my CPU upgrade), but I'm having issues getting the tubes for the cooler to not make contact with the back of my GPU. Is there any way to manage them, or would I be better off moving my cooler to a different spot in my case? My cooler is currently in the top and I know it's bad practice to have the tubes contact with the graphics card because the heat from the GPU can damage them.

As long as the rad is above the CPU you should be ok with whatever mounting you choose.

Can you use a ziptie to pull the tube up off the back of eh GPU?

not really, the heat will only damage the tubes if they are touching the exact spot of the GPU, and even then only if the GPU gets very hot, like 90 degrees. so if your card has a backplate you are fine.

I'm using the EVGA RTX 2070 XC, which has a back plate over most of the card.

I probably could, but judging another reply, it seems like it may not be a terribly huge issue.

I have a tube resting on the back of my card. No issues. Even with some Backplates hitting 80c.

I wouldn’t worry about it. I can’t really move mine anyway.
