1080p or 1440p for 125 USD more?

Hi there, I am building a PC in the near future and was wondering if 1440p is worth $125 USD. I was thinking of buying this monitor  1440p Monitor but then saw this one for 125dollars less 1080p Monitor

 

Which one should I buy?

 

I will be using my PC for gaming, video editing and streaming.

 

Any help would be appreciated

for me it would depend of the PC specs. Since if my pc can run 1080p at 144 hz but only runs at 70 on 1440p, i think it might be a waste but sure why not.

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

CPU             : Ryzen 5 3600 (Formerly Ryzen 3 1200)

GPU             : ASUS RX 580 Dual OC (Formerly ASUS GTX 1060 but it got corroded for some odd reasons)

GPU COOOER      : ID Cooling Frostflow 120 VGA (Stock cooler overheats even when undervolted :()

MOBO            : MSI B350m Bazooka

MEMORY          : Team Group Elite TUF DDR4 3600 Mhz CL 16
STORAGE         : Seagate Baracudda 1TB and Kingston SSD
PSU             : Thermaltake Lite power 550W (Gonna change soon as i dont trust this)

go for the 1440p . thats not much of a price gap for 2x resolution.
