i7 7700k - 2080 TI Low fps in Battlefield 1

For some reason when i play Battlefield 1(not 5)

i only seem to get 80-90 fps on 1080p (i know its not a 1080p card)

my specs are:

i7 7700k 4.8 OC

2080 TI 140/1000 OC

32 gigs of ram 2133mhz

 

i should be getting more fps on that game 100% im sure

i have already looked in to the settings on Nvidia control panel

im hella confused as to why i get so low fps in that game when i see people with 150+

Use MSI afterburner or a something like it to check your CPU/GPU/RAM usage.

Where is the bottlekneck?

Sounds like CPU bottleneck, check CPU ussage. Also set power managment mode to "prefer Maximum performance" in Nvidia control panel

i dont remember if my cpu is at 100% does that mean my cpu is bottlenecking. cant remember

a quick look at my task manager, my cpu is at 90-95% and my GPU at 50%

yes, anything above 90% usually indicates a bottleneck

I'm assuming this is multiplayer? Battlefield MP is notorious for bringing CPUs to their knees

you are 100% correct im in conquest 

im quessing a few extra cores would do wonders

Yeah, I upgraded from a 4 core i5 to a 6 core i7 and saw a massive increase in FPS.

hope thats my issue what would you say if i went all in and got a ryzen 3900X that would do me some good i suppose? i know its overkill but yea  and btw thanks for taking your time to help me out

Np, and sure that would help for sure. If you are playing at 144 or 240hz the 9900k is slightly better but the 3900X is much better if you are doing any other work.

 

In the mean time turn up the graphics settings and super sampling. At least you can enjoy some eye candy. Are you getting any stuttering?

0 stutters only lowered FPS but my fps stays the same nomatter what settings i have on

I would go for an Intel 9900k or the rumored 10900k (10c 20t) which is coming in the next 6 months. 

 

It gets ~20% better performance in high FPS scenarios.
