So i was wondering if the i5 2400 or the i7 2600 would still be able to deliver constant 60fps on triple A title games in 2019 like modern warfare 2019 or destinty 2 or maybe even pubg.I know that resolution and graphics is based on gpu side so lowering resolution or graphics settings would be meaningless if I have a cpu bottleneck.

i5 2400 will get shit on hard. The i7 2600 wont be nearly as bad, but will still under perform compared to modern offerings, but shouldnt bottleneck anything and should net you at least 60 fps in the games depending on the GPU its paired with.

The i5 I'm having doubts on but the i7 could probably still hold up well, but I believe that on the same socket you also have 3rd generation intel processors like the i5 3570 or i7 3770 but also some Xeon CPU's available, so perhaps look into them. Also if you want to buy an i7 depending on where you live, you can usually save money if you buy a xeon and still get similar if not better performance, for example instead of an i7 3770 you may be able to find for less a xeon 1275v2 or a 1290v2
