Posted November 12, 2019 I'm gearing up to buy a new system in a few weeks. I found what seems like a low price on this GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 WINDFORCE 8G for $399 US. My alternate pick would be GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC 8G for $399 US. They seem to be similarly performing cards (1-3fps off), and I'd love to have the CUDA and RTX capabilities just in case. Would it be wise to switch to this weirdly cheap 2070, or stick with the 5700XT? Thanks in advance!! Posted November 12, 2019 I wont buy either in the US market, but if you're buying from somewhere else the 2070 seems more appealing. And that card seems pretty okey from what Ive read on Reddit. Posted November 13, 2019 Would be a no brainer to get the 2070, if it wasn't for the possibly faulty VRAM in the early models... If you get warranty from a reputable seller, it's still a no brainer. Posted November 14, 2019 You can find sub $399 5700XT now. I have a reference card with the blower fan and I love it. It can be loud but you can't beat the 5700XT at the $400 price point right now.
