Greeting community.

If you look at my current build, our power supply didn't last 6 months.  I was warned of this after we already bought the power supply.  We are looking for a good power supply that is somewhere around 700W.  We were looking at the EVGA SuperNOVA G1+ 750 W 80+ Gold (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/xTMwrH/evga-supernova-g1-750w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-120-gp-0750-x1). Is this a good option or do you recommend another option?

Thanks,

birdflyer

750 watts is pretty excessive, what do you need it for?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

A 550W unit would be fine

I would feel better with a 600W. Is the one we were looking at a good deal or is there something better?

What happened to it?
If it's only 6 months old you will be covered by warranty. Have it replaced.

For some other reasons we have decided to go with a new one. Any suggestions?

The stuff that has been suggested so far has been good. You also don't need 750W for a Ryzen 2700X + RX590. Decent 550W for that system will be fine, but if you want to go with 650W then it won't make any difference either way (just cost an extra ~$10 or so).

The EVGA G1+ isn't bad, but there's likely better stuff out there for the same price. What's your budget? I'll assume the $100 or so the EVGA G1+ 750W you were considering is your budget. Could probably get a Corsair RMx or Bitfenix Whisper for around that price. If you don't care about having modular cables you could probably save a few bucks with the Bitfenix Formula. Have a look what's on sale since there should be a few good deals coming up.
