Why is my i5 2500k so sluggish?

Hello I recently bought a i5 2500k(new)to replace my i3 2100. It arrived here yesterday and when i switched the cpus i immediately noticed when i played oblivion my fps was lower and when i was in combat i had alot of stutter I also noticed it now when i was surfing the web it was very slow. Can anyone please help?

Check temps. HWINFO64

Did you clean all the old paste off the cooler, and use new thermal paste after installing the i5?

The i5 is new and a new stock cooler came with it but i bought some new thermal paste and used it instead of the one on the cooler
