Hello people.

I was wondering if any user of a Gigabyte Rtx 2060 Gpu has been able to find an aftermarket air cooling solution for this card as it does not seem to be compatibñe with ani of the Arctic Cooling accelero Heatsink and Fan combo, nor with the Rajintech MORPHEUS Heatsink...

Has anyone found an alternate to the stock fan/heatsink?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Best regards.

Mike.

Why are you looking to replace the cooler? Are temps or noise too high?

It is indeed getting up to 80c when gaming at stock clock speed and I was looking forward to some overlooking.

What are your specs and how is your case airflow set up?

Have you tried oc'ing? You may be able to do so without much better cooling.

Hello WoodenMaker.

Thanks for the reply.

I am using a Nox Hummer zx case wit two 120mm intake fans on the front and one 120mm exhaust fan on the back.

The PSU fan does not contribute to the overall case air flow as it sort of separated form the rest.

There is still space for two 120mm fans on top.

I tried some mild OC and the temperature went up to 89 on MW2019 and while using 3Dmark demo.

You think I just should get those two extra fans for the top of the case? If so should the be intake or exhaust?

Thanks once again for responding.

Cheers.

Those temps are a bit high.

If you were to add top fans, they'd be better suited as exhausts. They might not be necessary though since you should have ample airflow with your current fans.

What rpm are the case and graphics card fans running at load? Have you tried raising the rpm?

According to the case specs the fans are 1000 rpm I have the running on full throttle.

I did use the fan control feature in MSI Afterburner to raise the GPU fan speeds and that did lower the temp.

I am however concerned of life expectancy of the GPU fans if I keep them running at high speeds.

Maybe I should get some 1600Rpm fans?

I think I`ll get the either way and play around with their distribution on the case as at the moment there seems to be no aftermarket cooler for the GPU.

How does this sounds to you  WoodenMarker?

Cheers.

Running fans slower may make them last longer but they're designed to run at 100% and it's perfectly safe to do so.

As long as the noise doesn't bother you, just run the fans at higher rpm.

Better case fans may help but I'd recommend seeing what you can do bu adjusting the fan speeds first.

Thanks for the swift response mate.

I will run some test over the week before deciding and will post updates on the weekend.

Have a nice Monday!
