soo i finally finished my build and all...

only to then notice that noctua`s ippc fans are not as quiet as their standard nf-f12 were.

no matter what speed i run them i get weir humming noise. not loud but not silent either. so the only way to actually make my silent right now is to turn all 9 of them off.

which surprisingly actually still works. when idling /desktop working it takes the system all night to creep up 10 degrees from around 30-35 to 40-45 with no fans running whatsoever.

but still thats no solution and as much as i hate thinking about taking the whole loop apart again and disassembling half the heavily modded case just to reach the fans and change them i guess i still have to because its turning into a major sore point on an other wise perfect system.

TLDR:

Any good quiet fans to recommend. dont need much pressure. main issue is noise. then second is looks. i know the old nf-f12 will do the job perfectly but i cant go back to brown :D

well you're in luck then because even the original NF-F12s come in black.. not just the tan/brown we are use to.

I do think the weird hum could be due to a combination of running the fans in pull through a very thick radiator and the shroud you have over them. But anyway go for the chromaxs ones as mentioned above.

that was one of my fears as well but if thats the case then i dont think i can do anything about it. and in any way i did notice the ippc ones are rated and reviewed to be louder or not with silence in mind. noctua themselves talk about them being "heavy duty fans" i guess i shouldve looked around more before buying. i just asumed the ippcs would perform the same as the old nf-f12 just in black and with ip-rating if wanted.

oh shit yeah i totally forgot about that. tahnks but are they the most silent or should i maybe switch to something else. i always heared they were good alrounders with awesome build quality but if im just taking silence should i maybe look for noiseblockers or something else even?

also i was against it at first but im starting to think about argb fan although those are never really silence engineered. hmm

Them and Be Quiet are considered the quietest around.

What rads are you using and where / how are they mounted?

I wouldn't go with the NB eLoops if you're mounting the front of the fans near a frame due to how far out the blades protrude.

Due to how many rads you're using, I'd recommend the quieter SW3's.

so you suggest the silent wings are more quiet than the nf f12?
