2080 TI Aorus Extreme Waterforce - Need advise before buying

Hey Guys
Since few days I am looking for some info on this card.
https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-gv-n208taorusx-w-11gc/p/N82E16814932075

Seems not a lot of folks are using it.
I would like to get some first hand info if there is someone here using it ?
For what I found it seems to be one of the top 2080 TI both performance wise and temp wise ? Can someone confirm that ?  I found only a chart like this here:

 https://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/gigabyte_rtx_2080ti_aorus_extreme_waterforce_11g_review/24

Temperatures

Fire Strike 4K

For now I would prefer to stick with AIOs and move to a CL in the future.
You find it possible then to remove the AIO and connect this card to a loop? Will I need to change the block on it or maybe just the tubes ? (i guess the pump is under the block so i would have to change everything ?)
Any advise appreciated :)

As far as I know, it is not possible to use the block and connect it ti a CL. You then have to remove the cooler and buy a new custom waterbock, which is made for a CL.

But you should check if there are any Waterblocks available for your GPU first.

Hello and yes of course not a lot of folks use this card, it's pretty expensive. If you want to save a penny and get almost the same thermal performance. Get a Kraken G12 bracket and a cheaper 2080 ti.:)

Hi @Enochian

If you are going to dump the 240 mm radiator with its two 120mm RGB fans, why not buy the Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (xtreme waterforce WB) with the pre-installed water block instead?

They are practically the same card, it is probable that they even share the same v-BIOS, and it is cheaper too...

Compare the two GPU's at Tech Power Up's GPU Specs Database

Hi ,

Because for now even if i spare some $ on the version of the card i would need to buy everything for a CL. All the components. Aaaaaand if going for a CL i want to do it properly, which would cost me.. what ? 800 - 1000 $?

Then having this card I can more or less assume that it should be possible to remove all the AIO part and slap a custom loop on it.

Still waiting for anyone having that card to confirm more or less the performance from the graphs.
