I've been recently thinking of upgrading my current gtx 1050ti to a 1660ti, but the only thing making me tentative with the upgrade is my 400w PSU. I've put the parts into PC Part Picker to find that the estimated wattage is 286w, but I would still feel a lot better to get some tips. Can anyone help?

Specs:

-Intel core i5 8400

-16gb DDR4 2666 T-Force RGB Delta memory

-MSI H310M PRO-VD motherboard

-GTX 1050ti

-1TB HDD

Thanks for the reply, I already have the power supply but later on down the line I'll probably upgrade it when it comes to another GPU upgrade. I just wanted to know if the power supply was fine so I didn't have to go through the process of installing a new one. I also have to no plans to overclock the graphics card.

There's a really nice calculator here, and on a number of gaming component manufacturer websites, where you can plug in your components, and it'll tell you what the load wattage, recommended PSU wattage, and estimated electric bill will be. Perhaps that's the same as what you used.

Your PC with the 1050 Ti came to around 309 W load. With the 1660 Ti, it comes to around 355 W load. So, yes, your current PSU should be fine. Although, that's not leaving much headroom.
