Seriously my videos are such bad quality it's ridiculous, and they're always trying to push some "beta" on me and act like they care about their customers (when that is very obvious they don't,  otherwise they would probably respect me continously clicking "I don't want to use the beta, it's horrible")

Honestly I could put up with all that but the quality is so incredibly bad and I'm using the right bitrates..  Which is also ridiculous, as a user u shouldn't even have to think about this bull shit - used to work years ago but since Google owns it, it keeps getting worse.

Twitch is even more annoying.

I just want to upload my videos to share with friends and as some sort of backup (1080p/60)

I don't want to become a "famous youtuber",  I'm just looking for an alternative to upload videos in "not shit quality".

It's probably hopeless, but I thought I'd ask.

So anything like that out there?

Vimeo Pro will do everything you're asking for and more. Vimeo free will do the same, to a much lesser extent.

Do you mind paying?

There are services like vimeo that focus more on quality.

Or you can use something like plex on your own server or a vps and host whatever bitrate you want.

I'll look into vimeo,  but that other option sounds even better,  but how would I go about this exactly,  having a server sounds expensive?  And what's vps?

Alright I heard about vimeo before but didn't think much about it,  will look into it, thanks!

vps=virtual private server, basically a server in the cloud you rent and use for whatever you want.

Basically get a server, install a program like plex, then make accounts and other people can view videos that you let them watch.
