Bluetooth / Wifi motherboard antenna change

Go to solution Solved by Pixel5,

it should work, there are usually no extra antennas in the original ones that are used for bluetooth as its also just using the 2.4ghz band so it can be run over the same antenna as the 2.4ghz Wifi signals.

Q: I just purchased a Gigabyte B450 motherboard (This one) and the on-board WiFi is also Bluetooth capable. It comes with one of those single 3-inch antenna, mag-mount setups.

I currently have another PCIe WiFi card that's not in use anymore. My puppy chewed up the antennas it originally had, so I bough a set of these replacements. That card does not have Bluetooth support, but the WiFi on it works great with the new antennas.

So my question is could I use those replacement antenna, and hopefully the base-mount from the PCIe card, with my new motherboard and have both WiFi & Bluetooth support?

I much prefer the look of the dual-antenna and I'd like to have all the signal strength I can get, if they provide any better signal. I also use a Dual Shock 4 controller and I prefer using the wireless option with it as well, so I definitely need to have WiFi & BT going at the same time with as little latency as possible.

I don't know enough of wireless standards to even know what I need to be looking for to check compatibility, and I don't want to risk ruining the radios on the motherboard.
